A very nice drink, but can get a bit sickly sweet after a while

Lindisfarne mead is ok too, but it's very easy to make your own and there's plenty of recipes on the 'net. Why not give it a go?

A favourite that we get from the "German" market in Brum every year is this:



Not too sweet, but with loads of heathery / nutty notes to it.

ETA:

Just had a little nip of it to remind me, and it's redolent of a good Amontillado.
