I'd take a £10 Prosecco over a £30 Champagne smile

More often than not I'm disappointed with Champagne whereas I'm generally happy with Prosecco.

Of course, the more expensive drink will no doubt feel more of an occassion for Hogmanay smile

Waitrose are selling Duval-Leroy for under £15. It's pretty decent!

If you are down Lidl their Prosecco at £5.99 a bottle isn't a bad drop either.

We did this - went down the local wine shop and had a few bottles delicious Prosecco last night (as I remember it - see the hangover thread). From time to time I'll buy an interesting (expensive frown ) champagne, but avoid the stuff that features in Supermarket offers as it's usually utter rubbish.

Just cracking open a bottle of Bouvet sparkling Saumur.

Feck me it's good - and only £8.49 a bottle. Looks the part too.
