According to the Radio Times the format has been 'tweaked' after last year's series.

Looking forward to John and Greg shouting at each other.

Invention test and professional kitchen tonight.

Just came over here to post on the new series only to discover it's already covered. Good job, OP.

Lets hope the revamp works for the betterment of all.

Have they dispensed with the win an apron round? A good thing if so.

I think it's 16 contestants knocked down to 8 over the next two nights.

I could stand her being in my company for about 1.6 minutes

You don't have to stand over her in the kitchen, that's what the scullery maid is for silly.

Agree about her food coming across as exciting too.

I thought the standard for the first round was fairly high, but am I correct in that the competitors were from last year's series that didn't make the final cut?

Aki's Japanese food looked stunning and Tom's 'creativity' reminds me of last year's winner (Tim Anderson).

Some of them trying too hard if you ask me save all the fancy stuff for the later rounds. And as for putting one too many through grow a pair they did that last year.

Yes I thought it was just Al Murray that was there last year. The rest were "new"
