Wandering round a Tesco's near Birmingham I saw a bar of Old Jamaica chocolate for the first time in about 20 odd years.

Fantastic I thought, the greatest choc bar of all time is back, happy days are here again.

But I've never seen it anywhere else. Was it some kind of trial run? Is it only in certain areas?

Dunno about Old Jamaica, but I wish they'd bring back Ice Breaker, it was the nicest chocolate bar ever.

Although it wouldn't snap along the cracks on the wrapper like it did in the advert. frown

It's not an official cadbury UK / Bournville product anymore, despite being pretty widely available now they shelved it some years ago. It's still made in Europe (france IIRC) and popular among the export market. A couple of distributors have steady supply of it into the UK so it's been available for a few years in Tesco and the like (and still is).

I have also used http://www.aquarterof.co.uk/ in the past but they do not seem to do it but they do other old sweets which you might like.

Yes - always try and get some for the old chap at christmas / easter.

Was it the purple plastic wrapped bars?

The gold foil & paper bars went quite a few years ago.
