The £1.40 Luncheon Challenge

I have neglected to bring my wallet into work today, so only have £1.40 in change in my pocket with which to buy today's lunch.

Whilst I could borrow some cash from m'colleagues, where's the fun in that?

I have access to an ASDA and a Sainsbury's supermarket plus the usual High Street emporia such as Greggs, Burger King, Subways and a 'Pound Shop'.

Can the PH Foodie Massive suggest the best bang for my Buck?

Get that and a single baked potato or a pack of chapatis or something.

if you have access to a saucepan and hob, Asda 'Smart Price' instant noodles are only 11p a packet.

Wholemeal pitta bread and a pack of mediterranian vegetable couscous. Works out about £1.20 from Asda. This might be a bit late now though!
