Hi guys, like most im looking forward to the start of the F1 season,in past few years ive found myself demanding from the mrs, a higher and higher level of snacks to the point where its almost a superbowl tailgate party for one in the front room(which is great)
This is not a big issue,im just woundering/looking for ideas what others are consuming during the race.
i thnk beer goes without saying...

How about trying to sample something from the country hosting the race?
This weekend I'll be mostly eating BBQ shrimp and Fosters lager.
Some other venues may be more of a challenge. Any suggestions for the calendar this year?
GB = tea and roast beef
GR = Frankfurters
ESP = paellela
IT = pizza etc etc

For years we've had full on F1 circuit/country themed food on race day. Including appropriate wines, beers or coffee/tea (for non drinking countries).
Australia I make Lamingtons and in the past we've had a BBQ.
Spain is great - big Tapas menu.
Monaco last year we had Garlic Snails, amongst other things.
Japan we are up at stupid o'clock eating Miso marinated Salmon & Sushi and throwing back Sake.
India we went to a fantastic specialist supermarket in Cambridge to find some interesting cuisine & added some take outs from an awesome Indian in Bourn.
I spend the weeks before researching culture & cuisine with my kids, and the days before preparing all the food & making sure there's sufficient alcohol and appropriate themed snacks as well as starters, main courses and a dessert.
This has introduced my kids (currently aged 9, 10 and 18) to a vast array of world cuisine and different cultures. middle son is F1 obsessed, youngest just about pays attention, eldest loves the cuisine.
My youngest son even requested we went to 'Yo Sushi!' for his birthday last year as he now has a Japanese culture fixation.
I was upset when F1 went to Sky, but having seen some of the programme schedule & documentaries on Sky Atlantic plus F1 movie season I have a feeling it's going to work out quite nicely.

If you don't want to do the full on menu look in the world cuisine sections of your supermarket. There's always interesting snacks to be found.
Lidl do specials each week, from different countries (It's Scandanavian stuff this week, Swedish Meatballs & Norwegian stuff) but they cover cuisine & alcohol from loads of countries throughout the year and I often pick up specials to put away for F1 races. I've even noticed in the past their specials often coincide with F1 countries too...
