Making Fanta Frozens

following from a cinema thread - I normally get a few fanta frozens at the cinema if and when I go.

They are about £3.75 a go so quite dear when you consider it just water and syrup.

So I wondered could I make them at home. Ive sourced the syrup £9 for 40 servings.

I just need to make slush, there is slush machines on the net for £60, are these any good?

Or can I make slush an easier and cheaper way?

I'd get a blender which can crush ice - much more useful.

If you make it at home how are you going to stop it melting before you get to the cinema?

dont plan to take it to the cinema, Ive seen these cups that come with ice cube trays and using the power of the cup they make the ice into a snow crystal making it slush.

anyone seen these do they actually work?

if so

never seen fanta ones before, might have to go to the cinima to try then, plus seeing the avengers film aswell

I can categorically confirm that a Mr Frosty will not crush ice. Putting an ice cube between a sponge and a kitten would be a more effective ice crushing device.

I know this because I always wanted one as a kid - my parents always said "No" on the basis they were crap - I never believed them.

I got one for Christmas last year (at 35 years old). They were right - it's absolutely and completely fking useless and will not crush ice.

My kids were gutted. I reverted to putting ice in a freezer bag, wrapping it in a tea towel and smashing it with a rolling pin - just like my parents did for me.

Can't recall another Christmas present that I craved when I was young that was such a crashing piece of pure fail when I actually got my hands on one.

Cavn anyone buy from here or is it trade only? Some pretty hefty discounts in there.
