Field to Fork at Laverstoke Park Farm

PHers can claim 10 per cent discount on tickets and food at Jody Scheckter's food festival

There are two very good reasons to like Jody Scheckter. Firstly he is a handy driver having won the '79 Formula 1 World Championship and all round good-guy when it comes to cars. Secondly, he produces top quality food at Laverstoke Park Farm as those of you who ate a PH breakfast at the Mercedes-Benz Sunday Service will testify. Cars and food, that's all you need, right?

Last week we were explaining to the Laverstoke Park Farm team about our buoyant Food,Drink and Restaurants forum and demonstrating that we like eating almost as much as we like driving. As a result they have arranged for PHers to have a 10 per cent discount when purchasing tickets online for their forthcoming Field to Fork festival.

Laverstoke Park Farm’s Field to Fork Festival (in association with Sainsbury’s, apparently) combines a farm open day with a food festival with a bit of F1 thrown in for good measure too. For the foodies amongst us the festival will combine food workshops in bread, butter and ice cream making, biscuit decorating and wine and ale workshops.

In addition there will also be a speciality food producers' market along with farm tours, children’s entertainment, live music and the man himself Jody Scheckter will showcase his collection of F1 racing cars, including his 1979 F1 World Championship-winning Ferrari.

On the Saturday 20 of the UK's most exciting amateur chefs will go head to head in a BBQ Championship with their sights set on the title of professional British BBQ Champion 2012. And if you fancy a go yourself you and your fellow PHers can meet in the social BBQ area, hosted by Weber BBQs and featuring chefs on-hand to help you create your own tasty dishes using Laverstoke's award-winning produce. Or you can just leave the work to the professionals and choose from hog or buffalo roasts, burgers and more…

The event takes place on June 9 and 10 from 11am–6pm with tickets priced at £7 for adults, £3 for children (under threes are free) with a family ticket available at £18. PistonHeads readers can claim a 10% discount on these prices by using discount code F2FPH.

This discount code will actually cover all purchases online, including online food orders too so make the most of it!

Looks good - thanks for the discount guys. I met him at an event in Basingrad a while back, and despite me wearing a Williams top, he was very nice!

On the off chance I may bump into him, can't risk it! No real basis for the hatred, just can't stand him.

I don't mind him - quite the petrolhead, so I hear.

The Field to Fork is a good family day out.

Great food, plenty of interesting things for children to do plus a few of Jody's cars you can get within an inch of. BBQs with, I think free charcoal or gas, and a great band.

Highly recommended. Unfortunately we're on holiday this year so cannot make it. frown

Does anyone know if tickets are available at the event or do they need ordering in advance?
