Wild garlic leaves
Discussion
Hare stew is now, well, stewing.
My largest pan can only take 1/2 hare, so the below is what I'm using for that 1/2.
2 carrots, chopped
1 parsnip, chopped
1/2 large red onion
1/2 swede
1 white onion
3 tins chopped tomatoes
1/2 bottle red wine
about 5 cloves garlic
1/2 carton mushrooms
1 red pepper
2 small leeks
100g bacon bits
rosemary
basil
salt and pepper
thyme
fresh chopped sage leaves
plus of course, to go in at the end;
chopped wild garlic leaves, and
chopped chives (these go fibrous if cooked for too long).
Smells blooming lovely at the moment!

Saturday Kitchen inspired?
What's a suturday kitchen (I don't watch tv)? My girlfriend spotted them near the field she keeps her horse in and it seemed like a good idea since we use shedloads of pesto. You're not missing anything special.
