Help. Got 1kg of diced Venison lost receipie book!!!

Planned to cook a lively Venison slow cook meal today with dumplings but receipie book vanished...


Wife is out till 6pm its going to be a hearty surprise but can someone give any recommended receipies - have glanced online but nothing really takes my fancy.


Had thought about a base of potato rosti then a layer of haggis followed by venison with crushed juniper berries red cabbage and black current jus.

Venison is bhin' in chilli.

Tried this out - great suggestion.

I went for bacon loaded potato shells instead of rice - super meal.
took a good 4 hours in the pot and then a hefty 2 hours preparing.... culd have been the booze that slowed me down.
