Due to the wonders of the PH search engine I cannot find the thread I wanted about good restaurants in the Capital. Basically, regardless of price, what are the most delicious places to eat in London? I'm off next week for a few days and my favourites from the past few years seem to have closed or have dropped their standards.

Cheers,

Pete

Been fortunate enough to eat at both Gordon Ramsay's at Claridges and Roka in Charlotte street recently.

Recommend both.

Roka is fantastic.

I went to Tramshed in Shorditch on Saturday night. Mark Hix's new gaff. Two choices - Steak or Chicken.

I had Steak (obviously) 500g Himalayan salt chamber aged Sirloin. Oh My Giddy Aunt.
Great big Damian Hirst installation in the middle of the dining room too which is pretty cool.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have gone for Texture as it opened just before I moved away from London and I have been wanting to visit for a while now. I have done Roca but have not been for 5 years now. Still one of the most expensive dining experiences I can remember although it was lick

IMHO best restaurant has to be Ramsey @ Royal Hospital Road.

Tasting menu was superb with superb wines to match !
