Need help deciding.
I have plenty of booze and plenty of jam already so this is simply a matter of want.

Blackcurrant jam is easily bought.
Blackcurrant vodka, not much.

Vodka it has to be.

1.8kg = 4lbs
So I've used that,r ather than than the full 2kgs
1.8kg fruit + 500g sugar + almost 3litres vodka into a demijon.
Stir, stopper, leave for 12 months, drain off fruit.

The remaining 200g are going to be mixed with my 200g of redcurrants and some apples (for bulk) to make jam. smile

I'm making creme de cassis with mine. So just sweeping the fruit for 5 months before adding the sugar rather than adding it all at the start.
