I bought a pack of very nice steak from costco, I froze one piece of it last week and took it out to use yesterday, basically I misjudged how long it would take to defrost and it was still partly frozen last night so I left it in the fridge overnight.

I was going to cook it tonight but plans have changed and I won't be in. Question is will it still be good to eat tomorrow night?

Cheers

Yeah should be fine.

Give it ye olde scientific sniff test and chuck it in the pan!

Yeah that's what I was thinking, it's still got good colour.

Iron stomachs!

Just remember that you can only get food poisoning once and you probably got it as a baby, so you'll be safe.

Decent steak's already been hung for a few weeks, another day should be fine wink

AFAIK any "germs" will be on the outside of steak, and so are killed by heating smile

hould be ok as long as the centre is properly hot. Make sure there's no blood and you'll be fine.

I keep sirloins and foreribs hanging in my fridge for over a month,so in contrast,I will be fine, just take it out of the plastic and let it breath.

That will be ruined then.

Plus, it ain't blood.

No air will have penetrated the centre and with that in mind you'll be good for medium rare.

Since when does a muscle not contain blood when butchered?
