I do love jerk chicken, I'd like to do some fish now.

Which fish would you guys recommend I do it to? Nothing too specialist please, just something available on most supermarket shelves would be great thanks.

Red Snapper is probably the most commonest fish used in the West Indies.

Monkfish would be best a meaty fish but trout would do as monkfish is expensive!

Wouldn't trout be a bit too boney?

Try dogfish! No bones, just cartilage and the flesh will stand up really well to those jerk flavours. It won't flake apart as easily as cod, haddock. Similar consistency to monkfish but much cheaper smile

Oh.... Just read the rest of your post, supermarket only. Snapper or monkfish then.

I would of thought so and the beauty is that it is cheap!

Try and find a fishmonger though rather than the Supermarket.

I'd go for an oily fish like salmon. Mackerel if you can find it.

Cook it outside on the BBQ as it will stink the house out.
