So whats your fave soft drink and why?

Mines got to be Irn Bru. Simply because it tastes unique.... Served ice cold in a tall glass with ice..... Bliss!

Root beer is one of my favourites. Ginger beer also. But like all soft drinks, they must be nicely chilled to be perfect.

I often wonder if Coca Cola actually tastes nice or if we have just been marketed into drinking and liking it.... The power of marketing or a truly gorgeous drink?

There was a soft drink available in South Africa called Pine Nut (IIRC).
I loved the stuff.

From a can or plastic bottle I can't stand it. In glass bottles it tastes fantastic! anyone else find that to be the case or am I just imagining it?

The majority of soft drinks seem to be ruined as they get rid of the sugar and add more sweeteners. I don't drink them much but when I do I want sugar damn it! sweeteners taste absolutely awful!

Tesco's sparkling lemon & lime water - life's too short to taste test everything else.

Very true. I struggle to find it in most shops. I have standard tomato juice in the fridge as a mid week alcohol alternative. I'll only drink Coke when hungover.

I always have cans of Coke Zero in the fridge, though I'm weaning myself off the stuff slowly. Used to drink the full sugar stuff until 5yrs ago when I was diagnosed type1 Diabetic. Now, in the rare times I drink the real deal, I think it tastes awful. Something about the Zero I just like a lot, over the regular Diet Coke.

Never been a fan of ANY Pepsi.

Recently, I think there's a lot to be said for fizzy Vimto! We get a couple 2l bottles of sparking water on the weekly shop and add to the cordial (the non-added sugar version for me, naturally) , rather than the pre-made fizzy stuff I believe they do. Very refreshing.
