Cutting corn kernels off

Cheers for the reply. I find that hard to imagine,
because they've smaller diameter top and bottom than in the middle.
Oh well, live and learn, lol.
I have a twelve quid apple peeler that more or less does the same thing. it is spring loaded so just follows the contours. It slices at the same time too. And takes the core out. because they've smaller diameter top and bottom than in the middle.

With one of these, no idea what goes on just inside that little hole though.

They don't. They grown the kernels sans cob in hidden facilities where they also test makeup on monkeys and stuff.
I think they heat it up until the kernels pop off the cob. Then they take each individual piece of popcorn and push it back into itself so that it becomes a kernel again.Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
