What are folks' plans this year? Apparently the blackberry harvest was great a few weeks ago, lots of big berries due to all the rain. Do we think sloes will be similarly abundant?
I didn't pick any last year so can't quite remember when's best to go looking- is it too early do you think? I read somewhere one should wait for the first frost of winter before picking.
I made some two years ago and it was fab, definitely keen to give it another bash. I have a recipe somewhere but it's basically gin, pricked berries and sugar.
