Anyone on here doing the ale trail?

It's a good way of finding pubs you'd never know existed or would have ever visited.

Just reached 70 now.

Just type cask finder into the google App store and it comes up almost immediately. No idea if it is available for the iphone.

When you go to a Cask Marque pub you find the certificate and scan the QR code. This then adds it to your tally. You get various "prizes" at each level.

The map on the app is more accurate than the map on the website with regards to pubs that currently have it. Not all pubs have it on display and you get some blank looks when you ask where it is!

Have been doing this for a few weeks now and at the same time discovering pubs in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2013. It's handy when a pub is in the guide and has the Cask Marque certificate.
Had several Cask Marque QR codes that have not scanned, a brief e-mail to the folks at Cask Marque to report the problem and within a day the QR code has been added to my list.

I've only got 15 at present, only been doing it for a short while and my other real ale quest is to visit pubs in the Good Beer Guide. Planned 3 Cask Marque visits tonight.

Yeah the prizes came through no problem.

Got 6 planned in form Friday night. Gets quite addictive!

It does get addictive, went for 3 tonight, ended up doing 5!
