Mason Jars

I quite fancy a few of these for authentic spirit/beer/cider drinking. Proper, thick glass with a moulded logo - not modern plain ones. Does anyone know where I can get some over here, roughly 3/4 litre to 2 pints in size and obviously watertight? I have googled and ebayed but they all seem to be in America and therefore cost a billion pounds to ship over.

I can't understand why anyone would bother buying empty jars / bottles when there are so many good ones available with stuff in them.

'Lorina' stoppered lemonade bottles (from Waitrose) for one thing; also Asda 'Extra Special' vodka and gin.

See what I mean?



The label peels off; moreover the black plastic wrapping at the top reveals a cork stopper, which has a satisfying 'bung' when removed.

Quite right MC, I use these for storing various types of cooking oil. Plus the pink lemonade is gorgeous.
