I'm in Bath for the next couple of days - do any PHers have a restaurant recommendation or two? Not really fussed about price or type of cuisine. Thanks!

The Cote there is good and Jamies is always popular. Both are right in the centre.

The Bath Priory is pretty good and i think it recently got a michelin star. It can feel a bit stuffy though (clientele) but staff and service are v good. another one of my favourites is the Olive Tree Restaurant- a bit out of the way but the food has always been really good

Another vote for Jamies in Bath. Also had a great meat at the Hall and Woodhouse http://hall-woodhousebath.co.uk/

The Chequers & The Marlborough Tavern - Pubs with good food.

Also Casanis. A French restaurant with very good food but not too expensive.

There's a decent Nepalese near the station.

Also, the Raven does excellent pies (but it's a pub, not a restaurant).

Back home now and thanks for the help, guys!

I went to:

Jamie's Italian - okay-ish food, reasonable prices, good service.
The Olive Tree - nice food, top end prices, slightly shoddy service.
The Mint Room - excellent Indian food, average prices, excellent service.

Define restaurant?

you won't get better food in Bath than a Schwartz Bros burger. i guarantee it will be the nicest burger you have ever had.
