London Restaurant for Work Dinner

Ladies and Gents,

I am having to organise a work night out in London at the end of November for approximately 20 people with varying pocket depths. I'm a Londoner myself but scratching my head to find a restaurant which fulfills the following criteria:

1) Takes group bookings
2) Sensible pricing
3) Rapid turnaround (about 1.5hrs as we'll be hitting bars either side)
4) London uniqueness/wow factor
5) Ideally Soho/Covent Garden area but happy to be further west

So...good folk of Pistonheads please advise! Any suggestions much appreciated.

Great suggestion but yes...too far I'm afraid. I should have said the conclusion to the evening will be on picadilly so really no further west than green park

To keep the cost down if one of your team has a tastecard there are a few places around the west end that will do 50% off for an unlimited amount of people.

Another option is to try top table, I once organised a team meal to the Boulevard Brasserie at Covent Garden with a 50% off offer. Meal was good for half price.

Many have 'private' dining which essentially just means you get your own room. Deals can be done at most with large-ish bookings - up to 50% off 'walk-in rates' not unheard of depending on day/time...

Thank you all for some excellent suggestions - Imli does look very good indeed and I will investigate Zedel further when his menu doesn't crash my browser!
