WTF

I read "£3 or less" on the signs when i bought my sandwich last weekend. It did work out cheaper as i did buy a bog standard sandwich. £3.00 special deal if you buy sandwich, drink and bag of crisps

I'm not saying you are wrong as Tesco has been known to this type of deal.
As you say this, i was in Asda the other day and bought some pretzels and they were on a deal for £1 a pack. I went to the self serv counter and they scaned up as the usual price.
This does make you wonder how many people pick stuff up, dump it in the trolley and think they are getting a deal when they are not.
Thats how they make their money.

So Tesco offer a sandwich, crisps/ chocolate & a drink for £2.50
But if the three items you choose come to less, they charge you the lower amount?
And your problem is...?
I go in to buy a sandwich. Tesco persuade me with a promotional offer that I will get a discount if I add crisps and a drink. But if the three items you choose come to less, they charge you the lower amount?
And your problem is...?
When I get to the till its BS, there is no 'deal' at all, its just a blatant attempt to mislead.
I had a rant because Tesco seem to play this game all the time and sadly I have no choice during lunch other than Tesco.
