Could any locals give me the name of a really good Chinese restaurant in the Winchester area for dining in on Friday evening.

Many thanks

Dim T is Japanese rather than Chinese IIRC.

Haven't been for a long time, but when living in Romsey the Water Margin was the best locally.

Mr So is good, Don't think Cellar Peking is there any more.

Thanks very much.

Looks like Mr So in Winchester or I have been told about The Buddha Restaurant in Andover which sounds good and is about equidistant from where I am staying.

Don't go to Andover, it's a total and utter dump, full of scumbags, and generally vile.

The thing I miss the least about going to all the BTCC races is the inevitable stay in Andover when the Thruxton round came around. It's easily the worst town near a race track in the UK, and that's saying something when Croft is next to Darlington hehe

+1

This depends on which way out of London you're coming from towards Winchester.... but....If you're using the A3/A31 then you'll pass through Alresford where there is an exquisite little Bangladeshi restaurant....

Highly recommend the Chicken livers on Puri as a starter.... sublime...
