Speyside Whisky Gift

Hi all

Got a mates 50th in a few weeks and wanted to get him a good speyside whisky

for around £80 could any of you recommend a good bottle and supplier

Ive been on the whisky online sellers but there is nothing better than a recommendation

There's plenty of choice on speyside, that's for sure, it's not an area that throws up whiskies that really excite me though (Unlike Islay , Cambletown etc )

Have you thought about trawling the like of this site http://www.whiskyfun.com/

Look for speysiders rated at 90 points or more , then look at places like this http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/

To try and find a bottle .

Not very scientific, but should help prevent buying an over priced duffer.

I was going to post something similar CB - we both know how nice the Managers Cask is, but you need to be at the distillery or know someone who is.
