Quarter pound burgers

I have to cook and serve a hundred burgers during the late night at my pals wedding, can anyone recommend any frozen quarter pound burgers available from any shops or discounters?

I did reply but then realised I had completely got the wrong end of the stick.

Have you spoken to your local butcher - he might do a deal on that sort of volume.

Butchers do quite large discounts for bigger orders.

We used my regular butcher for Sonic's wedding reception which was documented here:

If you don't have a regular butcher try a few local ones, buy a couple of burgers, sausages and bacon off the counter to test and then go back to the one with the best produce.

Same with bread rolls - go to your local bakery.

Best thing is, they'll value the business and look after you when you go in for a bit of bacon and half a dozen eggs in the future.

Unless its tonight, then you left this very very late... Whats wrong with getting off ones arse and finding a butchers (internet is a beautiful thing) and doing a deal over the phone before picking them up, spreading the order across several houses and freezing them?

Or if you want frozen then freeze them at you location?

Quite - Sonic (Bucks) bought from my butcher (Shropshire) and we cooked the food in North Yorkshire following the wedding in Cumbria. fk knows where the cows came from

I live on a small Scottish island, no butchers, and am on my way up (slowly) there having landed at Manchester after a holiday in Florida.

Bread rolls are sorted, as are sausages (Preston market) and bacon (Aldi), so I was just asking if anyone knew of a great frozen 1/4 pounder.

When are they for? Could you just buy some mince and make them yourself? It'd probably take no more than an hour to do, and they'll be roughly 436,721% nicer than any frozen ones you'll get.

Can't you just phone ahead and get one of the locals to slaughter a cow? :-)

Even if they could hose them with liquid nitrogen they're still going to be half thawed by the time the OP gets anywhere, unless he has a chiller compartment

The OP would have done well to have detoured to Shropshire as I'm in the process of defrosting the chest freezer prior to the house move - I have a bale of 100 sausages you may remember which were leftovers from the trial run and have been ringing round parents at the school trying to give stuff away!
