Anyone got any suggestions where to eat that's not Michelin 3 star! We are staying two nights and appreciate good seafood and meat. Thanks in advance!

Lots of places on Grote Markt square.

Stand in the corner of Grote Markt square, facing down Wollestraat, on your left is another road, cant remember the name, look down there for the shop with the yellow front, head for that, looking for the alleyway on the right, down the alley in the Garre (pronounced Harre) Bar. Get in there.

Place on the corner of Steen Strat and Grote Markt, green frontage, very nice.

Can't remember where we ate when I went there, but just thought I'd say, if you've not been before - you'll love it!

Me and the missus went there on a long weekend just before Christmas. It snowed over the weekend, there were all the Christmas lights up, and lots of the lampposts had speakers attached piping out plinky Christmas tunes. It was magical, I absolutely loved Bruges cloud9

Oh, and no visit is complete without going to the Bruges Beertje Bar - they have over 300 types of beer!

Was there a few weeks ago; Ribs n Beer is absolutely superb (bottomless refills of juicy ribs!).

Smart restaurant but not too posh, lovely food and great staff.

Probably irrelevant now if the OP's already left, but this is where we stayed:
