I have 3 hours to cook spare ribs...
Discussion
They've already been marinaded and I've just stuck them in the oven at 120 degrees C at 5.10pm.

I need them getting ready to serve around 8pm as I'll have hungry kids ready to eat then. I had planned to cook them slowly (starting earlier than this) then finish them off on the barbecue but she wanted me just to cook them in the oven at a high temperature for 45 minutes.
How best to do this? Maybe oven at 120 till 8pm then a quick 10 mins on the barbecue while I get the rest of the meal ready? Will that be enough to make sure they're ready to eat?
thanks!

I stick mine on a wire rack on a backing tray with either water or a can of beer poured on the tray... covered in foil and 140 deg, for 2 hrs..... then remve foil, up the temp, brush over sauce of choice every 10 - 15 mins for about half and hour....... result is sticky coated ribs, that come clean off the bone...
a bit late though for helping you tonight
