Now, how do they come out?
Discussion
Watching Saturday Kitchen this morning in bed, Mrs HH (who has pneumonia and spent her first night in a while in the marital bed) decided she needed comfort food - and the Lamb Madras they did on SK was it.
So off I go to Waitrose to buy the few bits I didn't have - which included fairly thick Cinnamon sticks.
Now, as an ex-Purchasing type, I understand cost saving 'stuff' - but surely, someone at Barts would understand this wouldn't ever f
king work (and it was the same with the Cloves I also had to buy).. And removing the whole top was an utter pain in the neck..

Indeed, it's now cooking and it smells f
king wonderful. If the top was screw top, I'd be OK, but it it wasn't, and I ended up attacking it with a sharp Sabatier, which worked.
But why?
