Restaurant Rec - Kings Cross to Wembley
Discussion
Will be in London for the league cup final at the end of Feb, arrive at LKX around 12.30 so looking for somewhere for lunch before getting to Wembley for a 4pm kick-off.
It'll be myself, my bro and my father. Time is reasonably tight, reckon we have 90 mins in which to eat so a couple of options struck me:
A) there's a few half-decent eateries in the station itself but seeing as my dad is buying our match tickets if we pickup lunch I'd like to think we can do a bit better than Giraffe.
B) in or around Kings Cross, I've been to a Spanish place in a mews off Goods Road so somewhere similar would be fine.
C) the option I'm not so sure on, somewhere a short walk from a tube station en-route ?
It's a Sunday so somewhere doing a roast wold be welcomed but we're pretty open minded.
Budget would be around £120 for the three of us including a bottle of red or a couple of pints.
Any ideas ?

You only have a 4 stations en route, Euston Sq, Grt Portland St, Baker St & Finchley Rd.There's a pub right opposite Grt Portland St called the Albany. They do a sunday lunch, meant to be quite good but not been there myself.
Other than that, get off at Finchley Rd and explore, loads of restaurants of varying price and quality. Perhaps google Finchley Rd restaurants (London NW3) and choose one in advance. There's a good mexican out of the station and turn left, but mexican isn't everyone's cup of tequila.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Twig, looks like a good sound. Not sure if he wanted something a bit less pub-like but given the reasonably tight time-scale that seems decent.
I don't think I'd appreciated how direct the tube was on this route (always done this trip via Liverpool Street which throws in a couple of extra stops).
My experiences of Finchley Road are only the O2 (and we can get Zizi's any time !) but I'll take a google and see if I can uncover something.
Cheers,
Chris
