So in these austere times, how much use do you get out of a single teabag?


Having succumbed to the charms of green tea more and more over the years, I was religiously using a one shot technique. But by peer pressure (Mrs Beano) I now tend to use a bag twice at least. Sometimes the lemon gets used twice too!

Just the once but I still wash them first.

Normally just the once, at work they have no tea pot and that is where i tend to drink the most tea.

If it's a special time then I will crack open the pot and then it goes down due to the 'one bag per cup and one for the pot'

I use a pot whenever possible, but otherwise each bag of Yorkshire Tea is used only once and brewed properly in a large heated mug for 4-5 minutes as per the instructions on the box.

I absolutely love Yorkshire Tea!

I buy the best tea I can afford, brew it in a 250ml teapot and pour it into a cup or jug the moment it's brewed to my liking. That way the leaves don't stew, and can be used again.

Good quality whole leaf tea can be infused at least twice. Seven or eight times in the case of an aged Pu Erh.

The Clipper fair trade tea bags are easily big enough to get two mugs of decent strength tea out of. Top tip for any students out there!
