It will be fine, just make sure the wine is stored laying down in a dark cupboard away from heat sources. Laying it ensures the wine is in contact with the cork. Do no chill until a couple of days before drinking. There is no reason nv champagne can't be stored for 5 or more years. It is nv because it use 2 or more years grapes, so ageing will still benefit it.

They have some very good deals on Champers at the moment, and some codes so it becomes even cheaper. I got a case of Taittinger for just over £100It deserves it's own thread really but no-one really bothers about bargains on here.

Is that true? I have a bottle of Moet stuffed at the back of a wardrobe that I bought in 2007, but I've left it standing up rather than lying down.I haven't done anything with it because I thought it would be as good as vinegar by now. Reading that gives me hope it may actually retain some taste and/or fizz!

The most likely damage to champagne in a wardrobe is heat, it's amazing the difference it can make to a wine over time.
