Red Dog Saloon in Hoxton... anyone been ?
Discussion
Me and a few of the guys from work are going to head here soon to try out their Devistator Burger, not going in for the 10min challenge but just to see if we can finish it. Also tempted with their super hot, hotwings

yes i've been. Didn't do the devastator burger, but went for the BBQ. Even made a special trip all the way to London to go!
Wasn't overly impressed. I'd give it a 6/10 and definitely not worth a special trip there. My local cattle grid blows it out of the water for ribs and pulled pork!!

A friend went there recently for the Devastator, he said it wasn't all that big and he finished it easily. He was also less than impressed with the service.Wasn't overly impressed. i went on monday, had the bacon cheese burger and a plate of wings.
was good, not the best burger in london but its not the worst either.
I saw a guy polish off a devastator then a plate of the hot hot wings, he had gloves on for the wings.
No way, man! I was there with some bookies last year and they egged me on to try the wings... I usually don't cry, not even when my mother died, but fck, the wings made my eyes water - had one and gave up... Had the Devastator afterwards and it was OK, but not as nice as the burgers served in the Big Easy...was good, not the best burger in london but its not the worst either.

Big Easy...
This, infinatly better....After hearing the general sentiments of here from others we are heading to Bodeans tomorrow (Big Easy fully booked) which has a similar food offering but no 'challenges' of note.If you want a discussion point and quality food over quantity try the Tramshed (I think) in Shoreditch - for the fermaldihide cow suspended from the ceiling.

Have done...
Big Easy
Hawksmoor 7 Dials
Hawksmoor Spitalfields
Bodeans TowerHill
Bodeans Soho
Burger Lobster
Bar Boulud
So want to try Red Dog to see what its like... Am yet to do Patty&Bun, Meat Liqueur, Pit Cue Co..
Meat Liquor's burgers are great, but to my mind nothing, however special is worth the queues that built up after it opened. Go at a quiet time and it's brilliant. Pitt Cue has fantastic tasting food, but you'll leave hungry. Comedy small portions. Big Easy

Hipsters dont get junk food. It may taste great, but I want to leave feeling violently sick in a good way. Barbecue should make you worry if you'll fit through the door on the way out.
