It's my 22nd birthday on Saturday the 23rd and my sister has kindly booked me a day rally driving at Silverstone. She's coming with me on the day and my mum is also popping along for the fun of it... I would like to go out somewhere nice to eat after the event and was wondering where people would recommend...

I've already been told to avoid the "Green Man?" And also that "The Vine House" at Paulerspury is rather splendid!!

Any other suggestions...?

Depends where you live but Stony Stratford is 25 minutes drive and is good for food.

Never eaten there, but Cameron's Brasserie in Stony Stratford seems to get some decent write ups. Dan Cameron was a finalist in Masterchef The Professionals a few years ago, and locally he took over The Navigation Inn which has quite a good reputation for food (but slow service).

eek

I can see it from my house (just....through the snow), but even though I've lived here since August never actually been in there. We end up driving to The Navigation at Stoke Bruerne instead. We really should give it a go especially as it's walkable.
