Off to a few gigs this week at the metro radio arena in newcastle. Any ideas on where to eat beforehand?

Depends what you want, Town Wall is near the train station and a 10 minute walk from the metro radio arena, great pub food and very good beer.

For proper restaurants theres loads, especially heading towards the Quayside, some great italians and close to brew dog, another good pub!

Try Nudo on Low Friar Street. The best Chinese/Japanese/Thai restaurant you'll ever visit. The food is amazing. I regularly go alone at a lunchtime. Relatively cheap two. For £30, two people couldn stuff themselves silly with a couple of drinks on the side.
