Have a night in Shrewsbury next month - any suggestions for a restaurant for the evening (Friday night)?
Anything from a great curry to tasting menu considered – 5 blokes so maybe more curry than tasting and candles.

Lion and Pheasant booked for Friday night - going to demolish the cheeseboard it looks great.
Madjacks Saturday lunchtime – going to skip breakfast in the B+B have an early lunch.

Making recommendations is always fraught with difficulty - what if you have a crap time? If you do, I deny all knowledge... Conversely, if it's marvellous then I'm more than happy to take credit for it!

Honestly tho', been there a few times and it's always been great. Mrs Rodders is a (very!) high-end restaurateuse and she rates it highly.

Have fun.

And remember, it's neither Shroosebury nor Shrowsbury, but "town" or "Salop".

You'll enjoy the Lion and Pheasant, very nice.

Also check out The Boathouse, recently refurbished and owned by the same people.

The Silverton Hotel does the best fillet steak in the town.

The Third Place in Frankwell, or Cafe Saffron offer the best curries (Cafe Saffron's head chef is UK-renowned)

No Saturday lunchtime meal though so its only the Lion and Pheasant on the Friday night.
