Basically I'm looking for a fun restaurant for a meal next mid week. We took an spur of the moment trip to Bristol the other night and tried wagamama and really loved it.

So thought I would put it out there to the great collective for ideas for the next place. Any type of food is fine with us we just love a place thats quirky and not the normal Prezzo's

The Hollow Bottom pub in guiting power near(ish) Cheltenham is a favourite of mine. It's a pub, owned by Nigel Twiston Davies and Peter Scudamore, so lots of racing customers and memorabilia. Food is very much local game and pub favorites, if you go during a racing at cheltenham during the National Hunt season it's usually a great atmosphere with owners and jockeys celebrating.

Maybe not everyone's idea of fun, but the sort of fun I like!

The Burger Joint along Whiteladies Road in Bristol. The best burgers I've ever eaten, bar none. Loads of choice and combinations. Definitely a place to book though, usually never a table spare for walk-ins (for good reason!).

How about one of the branches of the Thali Cafe in Bristol?

Limited menu, but really interesting Indian food. Go for the original tiny Montpelier one for atmosphere, or the Clifton one for nicer surroundings.

For fun I would reccomend Atomic Burger it's hot a great atmosphere and some of the craziest burgers ever. You can get the Chuck Norris which is a burger with pulled pork, or the fat tony which is a burger with Meatballs in it yum.

The burgers themselves are very nice but not as good as the burger joint previously mentioned.

Atomic burger also has comics, toys and memorabilia all around the restaurant.

The only 'quirky' place I can think of in Worcester is Detroits - http://www.detroits.uk.com/#

I've never been there and have heard mixed reviews about it but thought I'd suggest it.

Not very helpful I know but I can't think of many decent places to eat in Worcester at all, let alone fun ones. The Olive Branch is run by a great bunch of people, good food and "quirky" cellar cocktail bar. Usually good atmosphere.

If you like Wagamamas you will probably like 88 Bar and Wok in Cheltenham. I can't think of any fun places, what's your budget? there are some good restaurants/pubs but they cost a bit around here!

Chesters Mexican in Worcester? Very quirky building (can eat in the cellar). Decent food and atmosphere
