Restaurant on North Coast of France

I'm planning a little trip into France and Belgium. Only a day trip.
I want to get a train that'll get us into Calais at around 11/11:30 and want to turn left and head towards Belgium on the coastal roads.
We'd like to stop and take lunch between 30 and 90 minutes and preferably somewhere overlooking the channel. Don't want to spend a huge amount, but get reasonable food.
Any recommendations? Website links much appreciated.

Minor detour, but the Chateau de Cocove is well worth a visit.

there are some perfectly fine places to eat in Calais - i used to stop here for lunch waiting for the ferry.

Just a little bit of feedback.
Popped down on Sunday for a bite for lunch. What a lovely setting, good food, good staff (well, 1 member we saw!). Had a great day out. Will be back again soon.
Great scenic roads on the way down there. Good run back via Belgium.
All in all, if you're in the area, you could do a lot worse than Chateau de Cocove.

Might as well revive an old thread of mine.
Wondering about heading into France for a night. Would like somewhere to stay + good food for the dinner.
Will probably only be one night.
Any suggestions? Or should we just go back to Cocove? As we plan to go for a night, we could go further than before.

Well, if you got the overnight ferry out of Portsmouth you'd only be a couple of hours drive from the Loire valley. Lots of lovely places there, including somewhere we stayed last summer in Saumur: ::Linky::

Thank you for the suggestion.
