Having tried lots of different brands, I recently discovered this! Oh my word it's gorgeous!

What's your favourite sauce?

You have to go a long way to beat Steers BBQ sauce in my humble opinion:

Made this recently. Very nice and worth the effort.

Cattlemen's Smoke House for me

I haven't had it in ages, but I've not had a sauce that has come close since.

If you meant the Steers sauce, I actually brought a bottle or two back from SA on our last trip - but you can find it in most South African stores here in blighty.

This gets delivered to me from America by my Sister in Law, she also brings me the Honey Smokehouse one but I've run out of that so am awaiting her next visit.

In the states, we tried 'Sweet Baby Ray' - which was absolutely delicious. We brought some back with us, but as soon as we got back into the more savoury european food (if you've been there you'll know what I mean. Even their savoury food has an element of sweetness), it was too sweet. Stokes is best although ludicrously expensive (their tommy-k is great too), or plain old HP still is a winner.

I'm sure you must be able to buy those in the UK if you need a fix before her next visit.

Has to be Sonny's Sizzlin' Sweet. I usually bring a couple of bottles back from the States.

I'm surprised at that? I found the Bud ones fairly rank tbh.

There is only one sauce to use and this is it! Very hard to get hold of but it is the daddy of BBQ sauces.

Am I going to get a real kick up the arse here when I say mcdonalds? I was lucky enough to come in to possession of an entire box of the stuff, the only drawback is the little portions it comes in.

This is lovely, only place you could get it round here was Morrisons and they've stopped selling it now furious

Best BBQ sauce I've ever tasted though was a place called Yellow Dog Eats in Florida, their gold sauce is sublime.

Attempted to make a Carolina gold sauce once, followed an online recipe but it ended up eye wateringly vinegary.

I got this from Sainsburys ages ago but I've not found this in any stores (including Nandos!) for over a year. No idea where sells it now

We had pulled pork last night and it always needs a good splash of sauce to go with it. Now I have a surefire recipe I usually concoct from cupboard ingredients but I really couldn't be bothered, so thought I'd investigate the ready made options.

Haven't bought BBQ sauce for a long time, but tried these and I was surprised at the lack of crap ingredients and general quality of these two:

(reduced to £1 so had to try). Deep and smokey.

fruity and tangy.

My final sauce was a blend of the two plus a little extra heat from this:
