Beer festivals. ANyone organise one?
Discussion
Our CAMRA festival in Oxford works very much in that way - we pay for the hire of the venue, and buy beer from breweries and wholesalers at the standard price (£80-100 per firkin typically). Some local breweries throw in one for free if we're lucky. The staff are unpaid volunteers, though they get free beer and food throughout the event, and the money is made by entry fees, sales of beer, and sales of festival glasses.
