Love these, but very expensive. I know it's the French protecting the AOC thing (and why not) but does anyone know if anyone sells a "puy type" Lentil?

I'm sure I've bought 'Canadian green lentils' which look the same from somewhere - Waitrose perhaps?

However I can assure you the taste is not the same. Puy lentils have a 'smokiness' their looky-likeys don't have.
