I'm sure this is in the wrong forum?! But anyway, I've been a few times, each year the cue just seemed to get longer and longer (which means popularity keeps growing but you would think they would come up with better methods of dealing with that issue?).

Sadly or thankfully for my liver and my patience, I don't live in Reading anymore so its not really an option

Get there early pre opening wait 30 mins your in job done. Turn up early afternoon well its at capacity ad one in one out plus those in the line to go before you.

I always think those who go to a beer festival wouldn't just go or two or three hours it would be 4-6 hours generally with the big drinkers muc longer ad hardly any much before unless its terrible weather but weather is looking fine now.

Buy advance tickets smile.

Nope, did yesterday. Today will be packed and long queues as usual,
so worth avoiding.

3:30 pm chuckout yesterday something of an inconvenience.
Most other festivals do all day, why not Reading ?

Fortunately, the alehouse, 2 Broad St, was able to help out.

The Paulaner DoppelBock was the beer of the festival for me.

I've been the last 5 years or so, but boycotting it this year.

Jacked the price up yet again, and turf you out half way through the day? No thanks.

I know lots of others who are also giving it a miss this year for the same reasons - no doubt it will still be absolutely heaving though.
