Me and the OH have a couple of nights in Liverpool and I'm looking for some recommended restaurants. They need to be in the city centre apart from that not really fussy. Happy to eat pretty much anything.

Etsu - City Centre, Brunswick st - which is behind the Strand, opposite the Docks.

It's Japanese and does amazing sushi, sashimi and hot dishes.

I think the Eel California Roll is the nicest individual mouth of food in the North West.

It contains grilled crispy teryaki glazel eel, toasted sesame seeds, toasted nori, sushi rice, ripe avocado, japanese mayo and served with picked ginger and wasabi on the side.

Whatever you order from there, get a plate of the Eel (Unagi) California Rolls to accompany it.

Delifonseca is a great shout too - never been let down there. There is one on the Dock Rd and one in the middle of town in Stanley St.

We ate at Bem Brasil 3 days ago, if you can eat lots of meat it is fine.
I really do like the Side Door

Always used to enjoy eating at The Quarter, which is around 10 minutes from the centre.

Little informal italian restaurant which was well priced with hearty portions of tasty food.
