Have (m)any of you dear chaps been to Gauthier? I've seen his work on various TV shows, and the menu looks decent, so I've provisionally booked it for the OH's birthday.
Given she took me to Le Gavroche for mine, I ought to check that this place is any good!
PS - hope you all like the typo in the subject

Had our staff Christmas dinner there last year.
Obviously the menu was not exactly representative given that it was a set for 15 people or so but, it was a lovely place, the staff were very attentive and the food was very well cooked!
We started at Kettner's, which is a few doors down for a glass or so of champagne, then dinner at Gauthier then Ronnie's Bar (the upstairs less formal part of Ronnie Scotts - great live music on a Friday night!).

My wife is a specialist wine merchant and supplies them. We went to the opening night a few years ago.
The food and service is excellent, well worth the cash. We had a 12/13 course tasting menu with wines, was v pricey but not a piss take.
The only problem is the building, just doesn't have the feel. Was the same when it was Lindsay House, just a very poor building for atmosphere.
