Wondering if there are any keen bakers here, bread or otherwise. I'm more of a bread baker- we don't buy any from the shops, I make a loaf every couple of days. I make a fair few cakes and biscuits too.

I'll kick things off:

Those look ace! I fancy giving brioche a go soon.

Thought I would resurrect this thread as I have just started baking.

Any tips for the second rise would be good and also, a few times I have made a white loaf, it has looked great but there have been cracks on the inside. Any ideas on how to get rid of these would be good!

As it didn't really fit in the dinner thread (although I would happily no mall of these for dinner!), I give you ginger biccies;



(I've also made chic chip buns on the request of MOH but as most have been eaten the pile wasn't as impressive to take a photo of)
