Hi all,

So, I've left planning my 30th birthday to the very last minute and now I'm in desperate need of a cake. Ordinarily I'd use a cake bakery in Twickenham who make amazing novelty cakes which taste delicious but unfortunately they're fully booked throughout July. frown

Does anybody on here know of a good novelty cake baker or is anybody on PH handy when it comes to making cakes? I'm after a mad hatter style such as the one below:

Obviously something similar would be fine as to my untrained eye it looks complex.

I'm based in West London and it'll be for a party which is just south of London (Kingston). If anybody is able to help, you'd be more than welcome to come to the hog roast party too!

That doesnt look too difficult to make yourself. Its only 3 tiers iced and then a whole pile of different shapes glued with jam or more icing to the side. You should be able to knock it up in an afternoon from scratch. You can get the different coloured icing from Hobbycraft.

I've used ::Genuine Cakes:: before, and was really pleased with what they made.

There are several PHers who do this kind of thing... can't remember who right now. paperbag
I'll ponder a while and come back if I remember.

Thank you all so much for the replies. I have messaged Genuine Cakes so I'm just waiting to hear back from them. If I don't hear back by tomorrow afternoon I'll give them a ring.

With regards to the bakery, I'm not sure they'll be able to cater for the cake but iI'l certainly pay them a visit for their cakes and pastries! I may even buy some or the party. smile

If any of you do know of PHers in the business (or even as a past time) then please do put them in contact with me as I'd be more than happy for the business to go their way.
