Got some Duchy ones on offer. Put them under the grill and oiled and herbed them.

Now at this point, I nodded-off for half an hour.

Half an hour????

They'll be ruined. Nope just the opposite, blooming lovely and crispy and flavoursome. I'll be long cooking chops from now on.

you left them under the grill for 30 mins and they turned out ok?

did you turn them after 30 mins to colour the other side?

what temp did you have them on, as that is quite critical to a 'half hour' cooking, as on low, they might not be cooked, but on high they might be burnt.... actually after typing that, im guessing you had them on low to medium.

i do like crispy lamb fat though, so might have to try this next time i get some... or just cut the fat off and crisp it up while cooking the meat.

This reminds me of the tandoori chops in the Indian, stunning!

Try this one with lamb chops.

Season and grill on one side for three to five minutes, (depending on the thickness).

Turn over and grill for one minute to seal, remove from grill, spread liberally with Dijon mustard and sprinkle generously with Demerera sugar.

Continue to grill until caremelised and crispy. Deeee-bloody-licious.

The ones they cook in the morning and just keep warm all day, so if you are unlucy to order them in the evening they are dry and shriveled. Oh yes lovely.

Breast of lamb is one of my current favourite cuts.

Usually comes rolled and strung as a budget roasting joint - but I flatten it out, score it, and marinade with olive oil and garlic, or with olive oil, a little sugar and mint sauce.

Then I cook it on the BBQ, turning frequently.

Anjum Annand does a stunning BBQ lamb chop receipe which I *think* runs as follows:

Garlic and ginger pastes (2 tablespooons of each)
2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons veg oil
2 tablespooons chopped mint (edit - bashed up in a pestle and mortar)
1 teaspoon Garam Masalla.
Salt to taste.
6 small lamb chops.

Marinate overnight, cook on the barbie for 16 minutes.

As per the recipe above.
Dijon mustard and brown sugar glazed lamb chops.

Ready to eat, sticky sweet mustardy joy.

Chewing and sucking the bones is the best bit.

Lamb chops are the perfect BBQ food. Nature has even created a little handle for you to hold it by.

Gnaw, chew, and suck away. smile
