If I have a dessert when eating out and it is on the menu I will have apple pie and custard with both of them cold! to me this is normal but the looks I get and aked " cold! really?"

Garlic cheese on toast is one of my favourites -

Slice some cheese reasonably thinly, then grate/crush the garlic into a paste and spread it onto the cheese by hand.

Lovely! Also I think Lurpak do a garlic butter which is OK, just nowhere near strong enough for me. I love garlic and have eaten it raw in the past lol

Also like the above poster i'm a fan of cold custard, and get bizarre looks when I ask for the pie/crumble hot but the custard cold - it's much much more delicious that way!

Not so much a food (or food at all) but I watched someone order a shandy made of coke and bitter the other evening.
The barman did have a look of revulsion on his face as he poured it though.

Add an Amaretto (or is that Disarrano?) and it will make it taste like DrPepper!

I had something similar in LeMans this year but made with cider, it was bloody lovely.

I cant believe no one has mentioned the traditional way of eating christmas cake in yorkshire, with a slice of cheese (wensleydale or similar) on top. Lovely.
