Yoghurt making
Discussion
Hi Guys,
SWMBO and I both like yoghurt, but trying to be relatively healthy we go for the low fat options. However, we are getting increasingly concerned by the amount of sugar the low fat yoghurts contain. Consequently, we would like to make our own, controlling the contents and adding our own fruit etc. Has anyone any advice or experience in this area they would be prepared to share? What yoghurt makers do you use and are there any pitfalls/problems we should be aware of.
Thanks in advance for all constructive responses.

There's loads of recipes around although I've not tried it myself they all sound relatively simple and don't need any machinery unless you want to. This thread from another forum should get you started:

Or just the recipe "In a thermos flask over night - Pour boiling water into thermos to heat. Separately heat milk to just above blood heat. Remove from heat and stir in a spoon full of LIVE yoghurt (not bio) empty thermos of boiled water, add warmed milk seal and leave over night".
