best oven scampi

I really like scampi... order it in pubs and im sometimes disappointed with either the quality or quantity you get.

what ones are the best for home cooking ? Youngs ? Birdseye ? Waitrose own (as it is PH)

Have certainly enjoyed Youngs', but you need good chips and tartar too!

I quite like the Whitby seafoods whole tail scampi or jumbo scampi. It's all much of a muchness I find, just make sure you get whole tail not the reformed stuff.

But it's easy to make your own just get some langoustine, de shell them and make your batter or breadcrumb mix then deep fry them. Much better than anything you can purchase.
