Odd Drinks

Anybody else like strange drinks?

Now red wine is supposed to be drunk room temperature on it's own.
I love it ice cold with tonic water.

Maybe i'm peculiar but it's very refreshing.

Anybody else like drinking something against the norm?

Pretty much everyone I know finds it odd, and think I'm weird for drinking my tea without milk, you should see peoples faces when I tell them that milk ruins the taste of tea!

I drink my tea black too. So does my wife, which is of no particular importance. If ask for red wine and tonic it is looked at as being odd. Black tea is not overly odd. Mind you apparently some folk drink coffee with the excretian of bovine breast, very odd indeed!

It depends on the tea. I put milk in most of my teas, but never in an Earl Grey...

Yeah. "Camp" coffee. Made into a hot drink as per the instructions, it's utterly minging.

But a good glug in a pint of ice cold milk, with ice?

I've only ever had it cold. Well lush. Have you noticed the packaging has changed since the old days? It used to show a colonial type being served his Camp by a native, now I think (I sadly don't have a bottle to hand) it shows them both sitting down drinking Camp together

I think that room temperature actually means Cellar or basement temperature (where the wine was originally stored).
I'm sure I've read that red wine should not be normal room temperature i.e warm.

Not really that odd - that sounds relatively similar to what the Spanish call 'Tinto de Verano' ("Red Wine of The Summer") - and they know a fair bit about drinking wine!!

Agreed - the same goes for Real Ale... In both cases being intended to be served 'un-chilled' from cellars unlike White Wines and Lagers seems to have resulted in 'room temperature' often being cited!

Iced coffee as above either using Camp (but not had that in years) or a couple of shots of Espresso, if feeling really indulgent I add a big scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream

I used to drink coke and orange/apple juice when I was a kid. Thought it was rather tasty the time.

Bulletproof coffee.

2x shots espresso, knob of butter tbsp groundnut oil, shake vigorously.

It's strangely very nice indeed and is said to be a good pre-workout drink.

I drink a pint of yogurt with fruit blended in ,most days
